“We are pleased that the Wyoming Quality Healthcare Coalition, through its rigorous search process, selected CHD Meridian to work with them to create this new center,” said R. Dixon Thayer, chief executive officer of CHD Meridian. “We believe that selecting us is recognition of our 40-year-plus history of providing on-site healthcare services to some of this country’s largest employers. The coalition worked with a recognized national consultant to find the best solution to its healthcare needs and we are looking forward to providing outstanding service to the coalition’s employees and their covered dependents.”

The new health center, expected to open in July 2008, will incorporate primary care services, an on-site pharmacy, radiology and lab services. More than 5,200 employees, their covered dependents and retirees, will have access to the center, which will be staffed by approximately 15 healthcare and administrative professionals, including a dedicated wellness professional. The center’s offerings will complement regional healthcare services and are designed to help the coalition’s employees manage their health before they experience major or complicated health issues.

“At a time when multiple solutions are being proposed to improve healthcare, many of the nation’s leading companies are finding workplace healthcare to be a cost-effective choice,” Thayer said. “Workplace health reduces random access to care by employees, results in real cost savings, and helps companies ensure that employees receive the best care delivered conveniently.”
