CareHere, a leading on-site primary medical and occupational healthcare provider, has been named one of Tennessee’s Hot100 companies by BusinessTN Magazine.

The Hot100 spotlights companies with promising futures and recognizes them for enriching local and regional economies, providing jobs and exemplifying Tennessee’s entrepreneurial spirit. Eligible companies are required to be Tennessee-based, employ at least five people and have annual revenues in excess of $750,000.

CareHere was founded in 2004 by local entrepreneurs Ernie Clevenger and Ben Baker. Clevenger is a nationally renowned expert in the fields of employee benefits, electronic healthcare transaction standards and insurance legalities. With more than 25 years in the benefits industry, he routinely provides expert commentary and serves as an expert witness and advisor for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Justice and various state court systems in addition to serving as President of CareHere.

Previously employed by General Electric and IBM, Baker has more than 18 years of experience in customer service, information technology, quality management, and business process improvement. He is the former President of Precision Data Management Systems and a certified master black belt in Six Sigma Quality pioneered by Motorola and GE.

CareHere specializes in worksite employee health services, including primary health care and a variety of employee wellness programs. CareHere currently operates more than a dozen companies throughout Tennessee in addition to a host of government, manufacturing and service organizations nationwide.

This announcement comes on the heels of recent patient satisfaction survey results that indicate more than 74 percent of employees that have used the clinics across the country identify CareHere as their primary health care provider of choice. In just four years, CareHere has grown from two Tennessee-based clinics to more than 60 nationwide, serving more than 60,000 patients.
